Boneless Soy-Honey Chicken

From my kitchen in Japan

This is a straightforward sweet-savory chicken dish built from Japanese pantry seasonings plus honey and garlic.

Ingredients

  • Chicken thigh250 g
  • Soy sauce1 tbsp
  • Mirin1 tbsp
  • Sake1 tbsp
  • Honey1 tbsp
  • Garlic1 clove

How to make it

  1. Mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, honey and grated or finely chopped garlic.
  2. Cook the chicken thigh until browned and cooked through, controlling the heat so the honey does not burn.
  3. Add the sauce and reduce until it coats the chicken. Rest briefly, slice and serve.
